How it works

I’m confused... please explain how it works in simple terms?
5 weeks of fresh food deliveries (delivered 2x a week).

A different puree and finger food every day.

Starting with simple bitter vegetables on week 1, gradually moving on to more complex meals as the weeks go on.

Egg, Fish & Gluten are also introduced as allergens, along with texture progression, different proteins and carbs.
What happens if I need to pause deliveries while I'm away?
We offer flexible delivery options to fit your summer plans. Simply let us know in advance and pick up right where you left off upon your return.
Will my baby lose progress if we pause deliveries?
Not at all! With the initial weeks under your belt and our resources at your disposal, you can maintain steady progress even while travelling.
What about exposing my baby to allergens while travelling?
Not at all! With the initial weeks under your belt and our resources at your disposal, you can maintain steady progress even while travelling.
This seems a little expensive?
We get it, your wallet's important. But think about it: these are the best quality ingredients, handmade from scratch every day with zero preservatives, all delivered right to your doorstep.

For 5 weeks, you won’t have to cook or prepare anything for your baby, and you can focus on enjoying the process. Your baby's health (and your sanity) is worth the investment, right?

Food

Which allergens are introduced?
Over the 5 week menu, your baby will be introduced to Egg, Fish & Gluten (in that order), all spaced out with 3 days in between to help pinpoint the source of any allergic reaction. They appear on the menu every 3 days to keep the exposure up!

We can’t include peanuts as our kitchen is totally nut-free, but we include detailed instructions of how to do this at home easily!
If my baby turns out to be allergic to one of the allergens, can the menu be changed to accommodate this?
Yes! If you find out your baby is allergic to either Egg, Gluten or Fish, we can then tailor your deliveries to exclude that allergen for the remaining meals.
Do I have to start from week 1 if my baby’s already started weaning?
No, you can start on any week you like - just message help@vandme.co.uk or use the live chat below and our baby nutrition experts will help you choose which week to start with!
Do you offer dairy-free versions of the Ultimate Weaning Kit?
Absolutely! Our weaning kit is inherently dairy-free, which means none of the meals included contain dairy products. We understand that dairy intolerance or allergies can sometimes become apparent before a baby reaches 6 months, and families often follow their own milk ladder plans to manage this.

However, it's important to note that while we take every precaution to maintain a dairy-free environment for our weaning kit, our kitchen does handle dairy ingredients for other meals. We want to ensure you have all the information you need to make an informed choice, so please let us know if you have any specific concerns or questions about this. Your peace of mind is important to us!
Do your meals contain any salt or sugar?
No, none of our meals contain any added salt or sugar and we also do not use any additives. This is in line with the NHS guidelines on salt and sugar intake for children under 5.
How do I find out about the allergens in each meal?
All allergens are highlighted in bold on our menu and in your Weaning Diary. The individual foods are also labelled with ingredients and allergens so you know exactly what is in each meal.
Where do you source your ingredients from?
We source the best quality, freshest seasonal ingredients from reputable suppliers who also supply all the Michelin 3* restaurants in London.

For the seasonal, local product from UK farms, we use Nature’s Choice and Natoora. We use Direct Meats for their fresh free-range meat products and Daily Fish for their sustainably sourced sea foods.
What testing do you do to make sure your kitchen is safe?
We have a 5-star hygiene rating and an additional strict hygiene protocol in place. All kitchen staff hold food hygiene certificates and must go through regular health checks to ensure our meals are prepared in a safe environment. We flash freeze a sample of every dish we produce for 10 days and conduct regular testing to ensure the highest standards are adhered to at all times.

All our cooking equipment is sterilised with Milton disinfectant between uses and high-quality, sterilised water is used to make the purees.

What methods of payment do you accept?
